1nce Upon A Time

1nce upon a time ..
In an Enchanted forest there lived a little girl
by the name of

Zoe Jane

"I wanted every detail to reflect  the love I have for her, there was alot of time and effort put into everything."- Karla

Invites were designed and handmade by Zoe's mommy.

The 1nce upon a time theme was decided pretty early on. Each month leading up to her big day Zoe was dressed as a different Disney princess.

For this little one's birthday we knew we wanted tons of green, flowers.. just an overall enchanted mystical feeling.

We think we accomplished just that..

The balloon trees were such a special touch.

They were all handmade by Zoe's Grandpa.

The tables were full of handmade details..

The kids table consisted of mini pic-nick baskets filled with snacks.

The kids also enjoyed a day of dress up and face painting.

The dessert table why by far one of the cutest things..

OH the candid moments are the BEST moments

To Say that these two were just adorable is by far an understatement.
They literally had US cracking up with their antics. ( booty dancin')
And lets not mention the "oh yeah that was perfect" " ok another kiss"
Thank you both for allowing us to capture these special, intimate moments.

Height difference an issue? NOT. AT. ALL!

The leather year

Leath-er
ˈleT͟Hər/
As a material leather is durable, warm, strong, flexible, and has a sense of resiliency to it.
These are qualities that help marriages continue to thrive

The hubby and I are celebrating three years of marriage today! Woo hoo!! As I mentioned in my previous post we're pretty excited about it!I grew up in a home where my mom would celebrate everything. She would always give us gifts no matter the occasion. I share the same love to celebrate people and occasions as my mom. I find it fun to follow these traditions! I'm sure you've all heard of the Wedding Anniversary Themes. I'm sure someone like my mom and I invented this thing! The first year is paper and the second one is cotton...

David has been such a good sport in all of this. I'm sure he had NO idea what he was getting himself into. I love that he always goes along with my crazy ideas! The good thing is he is not scared to tell me "NO babe, I am not doing that!" that's when I know I've gone too far. He keeps me grounded.

David and I grew up in the same church. I think everyone can tell you that we're opposites in a lot of areas. Let's put it this way I'm sure no one thought we would end up married. But I guess that's how crazy love is. You never know where God and life will take you. I think by the time David and I started dating we had a pretty good idea what characteristics we wanted and didn't want our significant other to have. We dated a very short time but we immediately knew we wanted to get married. I don't think we knew completely what marriage would look like but then again who does. We took a leap and now we're celebrating three years.

This last year was a tough one but we survived and we're stronger because of it. Individually and as a couple we're stronger. I love  the significance that leather has... it's durable, warm, strong, flexible, and has a sense of resiliency. Do you know what resiliency means? It means something has the power or ability to return to the original form or position after being bent, compressed, or stretched. I think this word sums up our third year of marriage.

We thought it would be very significant for both us to go back to the place where it all started..

"We still do"

Here's to three years and forever to go!!!

With you I won't sink *Jen's love story*

“Life has a way of testing our anchors and tempting us to drift. Nevertheless, if our anchors are correctly placed in the rock of our Redeemer, they will hold—no matter the force of the wind, the strength of the tide, or the height of the waves.” Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Marriage is the most wonderful/difficult thing a person can take part of. This is my love story and I'm so excited to share it with you! Next week my husband David and I will be celebrating three years of marriage! Yay! To some it might sound cheesy to celebrate the small accomplishments. BUT if you're married you know how difficult it can be. I refuse to take any year we are together for granted. I am completely head over heels in love with my husband and as we get ready to celebrate next week here's a glimpse of the first day of the rest of our lives...

Our wedding had a "nautical vintage" theme. From the very beginning we agreed on
pastels and neutral colors. Thank you Emilee from Tasteful Tatters for the most adorable headbands for the bridesmaids and the boutonnieres for the guys.

The boat "Ambassador" fit everyone comfortably. Thanks to Pacific Avalon Yacht for being the perfect wedding venue!

Majority of our decorations were handmade. I'm a huge fan of DIY projects and I did not mind the time I spent crafting!

Everything came out better than we imagined! I look back and want to re-live that day because it was so much fun!

Our day would have not been possible without the help of our friends and families. Even though things change I will never forget how wonderful this day was!

Our day was captured by the best photographer ever!! If you're ever in the hunt call her!
